  •  a big bowl
  • a spatula
  • a knife
  • some string
  • scissors
  • baking tray
  • baking paper
  • a brush for greasing

Ingredients:

  • all-purpose flour – 400 gr
  • coconut sugar – 2 tbsp
  • salt – 1 tbsp
  • dry yeast – 7 gr
  • activated charcoal – 6 gr
  • pumpkin purée – 300gr
  • warm plant milk – 100ml
  • some butter for greasing (or coconut oil)

Gather all of the ingredients, and let’s start making this black pumpkin bread

  1. First, start by adding the all-purpose flour to a big bowl.
  2. Then follow with the rest of the dry ingredients – coconut sugar, salt, dry yeast, and finally the activated charcoal. Mix well.
  3. After that, add the pumpkin purée and mix.
  4. In addition, gradually add the warm plant-based milk of your choice. Mix everything well until black dough forms.
  5. Then it is time to transfer the dough to a flat surface that is generously sprinkled with more flour.
  6. Knead the dough so it becomes smooth and lump-free.
  7. After that, form the dough into a ball and let it rise for around 30 minutes to an hour.
  8. Then take the dough and cut it into four equal pieces using a sharp knife.
